Both of Ludwig and Dorothea’s sons William F. and Carl ( Charles) G. were born in Rossow. We assume that the Doebler’s lived in Rossow from at least 1850, which was the year of William’s birth until 1867, which was the year of their immigration to the USA. In 2007 this area was referred to as Rossow Uecker-Randow, Mecklenburg-West Pommerania, Germany and is located about 7 mile east of Pasewalk and 3 miles north of Bergholz.
